History of Daniel Roth
In 1920, he established The Premier Diamond Company on Fifth Avenue in New York City.
In 1932, he replaced The Premier Diamond Company with his own company, Harry Winston, also located on Fifth Avenue in
New York City.
In addition to remodeling and trading gemstones, he began designing jewelry in earnest.
He achieved great success in remodeling, design, and sales, earning the title “King of Diamonds” and establishing a
solid position in the jewelry world.
In 1988, the first salon in Japan opened in Ginza.
In 1989, he began manufacturing watches.
In 2013, he became a member of the Swatch Group, the largest watch group in Switzerland.
In October 2015, the Ginza flagship store reopened after renovation.
