History of Buccellati
Buccellati was founded in 1919 by Mario Buccellati.
The skills and aesthetic sensibilities of Mario Buccellati, hailed as the “Prince of Gold,” were passed down to his
son Gianmaria, establishing the house as a globally renowned Italian jewelry maison.
Following Gianmaria, the second generation, Andrea, the third generation, took over the brand.
Crezia Buchellati is the fourth-generation successor.
In Japan, the brand began operations at Wako in 1972.
In 2019, Richemont, which operates Cartier and other brands, acquired Buchellati.
Richemont has overseen the Japanese operations since April 2021.
In September 2021, the first Buchellati flagship store in Japan opened in Ginza, Tokyo.
