History of Yukiko Hanai
Founder Yukiko Hanai was born in 1937.
After studying fashion illustration at the Setsu Mode Seminar and graduating, she established Atelier Hanai in 1964.
In 1970, she launched “Yukiko Hanai” and began presenting collections.
She formed TD6 with Takeo Kikuchi of BEGI, Kansai Yamamoto of KANSAI, Mitsuhiro Matsuda of NICOLE, Isao Kaneko of PINK HOUSE, and Junko Koshino. This group became the foundation for Tokyo Collection.
She received the 1973 FEC (Fashion Editors Club of Japan) Award and the 2003 Senken Shimbun Buyers Award.
