What is SIRLOIN?


SIRLOIN” is a brand founded by Mao Usami, a Japanese graduate of Central Saint Martins, and Alve Lagercrantz from Sweden.
The concept is “Fashion these days is too serious! It’s okay to be more interesting! The use of the exhibition was banned at Paris Fashion Week in 2011, before the exhibition in Shanghai.
The 112-year-old public restroom, now abandoned, is the setting for the AW 2017 show.

History of SIRLOIN


Mao Usami, a CSM graduate with experience at Louis Vuitton, and Alve Lagercrantz, an assistant designer at Dries Van Noten, started Sirloin in 2016 with capital from a Shanghai-based company.
The debut collection for Fall/Winter 2017 consisted of somewhat escapist styling, with asymmetrical cuts and draping on standard wardrobe items such as shirts, T-shirts, and wide pants.
Today, the core of the brand’s philosophy and philosophical expression has remained unchanged, and the overall collection has been updated to a much more artistic and mode-like level for Spring/Summer 2006, Fall/Winter 2006, and Spring/Summer 2007.
