History of CHILDREN OF THE DISCORDANCE
CHILDREN OF THE DISCORDANCE started in Spring/Summer 2012, and from 2013, Mr. Shikama has been the sole designer instead of three designers.
In 2013, Shikama took over as the sole designer from three designers, and has been presenting collections with a unique approach based on the backbone of youth culture and vintage wear that the designer himself has embodied.
The brand’s innovative designs, which boldly deconstruct and reconstruct carefully selected vintage and precious archives, are distinctly different from other brands and have received high acclaim both in Japan and abroad.
The brand has three lines: the Made in Japan line, the Vintage Remake line with NAOTO YOSHIDA, and the Fair Trade line.
In the spring/summer of 2019, the company will release a line of footwear customized by RECOUTURE, a repair store.
Since then, they have released custom designs for Converse’s Chuck Taylor and Nike’s Cortez.
