Y-3 is a brand launched by the sports brand adidas with Yohji Yamamoto, designer of Yohji Yamamoto, as Y-3 creative director.

History of Y-3
Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto began a collaborative project with the 2001 Fall/Winter Women’s Collection.
The collection was launched under the brand name “adidas for Yohji Yamamoto” on a limited basis.
Y-3 started in earnest with the 2003 Spring/Summer collection, and although it was presented in Paris at the time of its inception, the venue for presentation was changed to the New York collection in 2005.
Starting with the Fall-Winter 2014 collection, the brand has moved to Paris, where it will present a new collection at the Men’s Fashion Week.
In 2006, the brand opened its first flagship store in Japan in Omotesando (Minami-Aoyama), Tokyo.
The store offers a total lineup of clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories. In the same year, we also opened a store in Beijing, China.
Starting with the 2010 Spring/Summer collection, the company collaborated with Samsonite to produce and sell leather accessory products such as “Y-3” branded travel bags.
In 2019, the brand also made a splash by producing the official uniforms worn by the New Zealand rugby team “ALL BLACKS” at the Rugby World Cup 2019.
