History of Walter Van Beirendonck


Walter van Beirendonck was born in 1995. He graduated from the Fashion Department of the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine
Arts.
In 1986, six students who graduated from the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts led their own brand to participate in
the “Six of Antwerp” exhibition at the London Collections.
From 1993 to 1999, he presented his brand “W&L.T.” at the Paris Collections. W&L.T.” stands for ”Wild And Lethal
Trash.
The collection, which started with the support of a company, had a strong performance element and attracted multimedia
attention and was well received.
In 2001, he launched his own eponymous brand, Walter Van Beirendonck.
Famous designers such as Wim Neels, Raf Simons, and Bernhard Willhelm have gained experience under Walter Van
Beirendonck, making him a proven mentor.
