S.T. Dupont is a French luxury leather brand.
The brand was founded in 1872 by Frenchman Simon Tissot Dupont.
The brand name “S.T.” is taken from his initials.

cigarette cases.

History of S.T. Dupont
Simon Tissot Dupont, the son of a carpenter and the official photographer of the Court, opened a workshop in 1872 to
produce elegant, high-quality trance cases and leather goods for the upper classes.
In 1941, he received an order from the Maharajah of Patiala for 100 minaudières and a solid gold lighter to fit into
each, thus completing the first oil-based luxury lighter.
In 1952, the first luxury gas lighters were introduced.
Today, the DuPont product line is represented by four “Arts”.
