History of STEFANO BEMER
The founder, Stefano Bemer, specialized in shoe repair.
In 1988, he established Stefano Bemer in Florence, Italy.
Thanks to its quality, it became recognized as a top brand within a few years of its founding.
From the late 1990s, Stefano was famous for taking on the talented actor Daniel Day-Lewis as his apprentice.
He was persuaded by director Martin Scorsese to make a comeback as an actor in Gangs of New York.
Stefano Bemer passed away in 2012.
Since then, Tommaso Melani has continued the brand, inheriting Stefano’s legacy, including the wooden lasts he left
