As well as its sophisticated clothing, HYKE has become a well-known brand through its collaboration with Adidas.
The brand is hotly supported by Japanese fashionistas.
Here, we introduce the appeal of HYKE and other aspects of the brand.

What is HYKE?


HYKE is a Japanese fashion brand launched by designers Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Oide from the 2013 autumn/winter collection.
The brand name HYKE is a combination of the initials of the designer family’s names, leading to a family-like image of a vintage shop.
While developing the qualities of vintage clothing, the brand has a design appeal that has been rediscovered from a new perspective, and the concept of HYKE is “Heritage And Revolution”, which aims to evolve the history and heritage of clothing with its own sensibility.

History of HYKE


HYKE was launched in the autumn/winter 2013 season.
In 2014, the Mackintosh collaboration line was launched – jackets and coats.
In 2015, the brand teamed up with adidas to launch adidas Originals by HYKE, which created a huge buzz.
In 2017, Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Oide won the 35th Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix; they debuted at the Tokyo Collections from the 2017-18 autumn/winter women’s collection and started collaborating with The North Face from the 2018 spring/summer collection.
