SOLOVAIR is a factory brand by NPS Shoes, a long-established British shoe manufacturer.
The SOLOVAIR shoes are made by the Goodyear-welted method, which sews the upper and sole together with a narrow strip of leather called a “welt”, and other methods.
It is also famous for having produced the “Dr. Martens Boots” in 1960 with the “Sole-of-Air” air cushion sole, which is also the origin of the name of this SOLOVAIR.

History of SOLOVAIR
The company’s history dates back to 1881, at the height of the Industrial Revolution, when five men from the eastern Northamptonshire village of Wollaston founded “the Northamptonshire Productive Society” (NPS).
(NPS) was founded by five men from the eastern Northamptonshire village of Wollaston.
In the late 19th century, demand for high-quality British footwear grew along with the worldwide popularity of the product.
Later, in the 1950s, the company became a production factory for Dr. Marten’s boots, and also produced boots for George Cox and others.
Finally, in 1995, the company launched its own original brand, Solovair.
Today, SOLOVAIR is known as a top-quality shoe brand with handmade Goodyear welt, and Euro Pacific Japan is its distributor in Japan.
