YANYAN, a knitwear brand from New York
It is said that in factories all over the world, there are yarns lying unused.
The reality is that many of them are destined to be thrown away.
To solve this problem, YANYAN is a brand based in New York and Hong Kong that has just made its debut.
In this article, we will introduce the history of Yang Yang.
What is YANYAN?
YANYAN is a New York-based knitwear brand created by Phyllis Chan, a former director of rag & bone, and Suzzie Chung, a designer from Hong Kong.
The brand uses high quality knit fabrics and playful designs inspired by traditional Chinese traditional clothes.

History of YANYAN
In 2019, the duo of Phyllis Chan and Suzzie Chung started YANYAN in New York City.
With the concept of “Proudly knitted in China,” they create items from dead stock and high-end yarns left over from the production process.
We aim to create a business model that is not influenced by trends and minimizes waste such as product disposal.
We purchase dead stock of high quality yarns spun in Scotland, Italy, and Japan in bulk to create original items.
