What is SHAREEF?


SHAREEF is a Japanese men’s fashion brand established by designer Hitoshi Shimomura in 2007.
He says, “It is important to design every part of the garment, including silhouette, details, stitching sense, and sewing specifications.

History of SHAREEF


Designer Hitoshi Shimomura launched Shareef after working as a patterner and production manager.
He held a solo exhibition in 2008AW, and in 2011 opened the flagship “SHAREEF FLAGSHIP SHOP” in Daikanyama, Tokyo, based on the concept of a “study in a deep green forest.
The store, themed on a study in the forest, is lined with Western books, and a door reminiscent of a closet opens to reveal a fitting room and cash register.
Numbers are written clockwise around the store, and many ideas from SHAREEF designer Hitoshi Shimomura were used in the interior design.
In addition to the flagship store, the brand is also available at select stores such as STUDIOS.
