History of PIHAKAPI
Designer Vejas Kruszewski was born in Montreal, Canada. He taught himself about clothing in high school from YouTube and Japanese fashion books.
He opened his own design studio in Toronto in 2014 and worked on “Vejas” in 2016, winning a special “LVMH Prize” award at the age of 19.
The designer was invited to become the designer of this brand as a new project by an Italian factory specializing in leather called Pellemoda, which the designer used to produce the Fall/Winter 2017 collection for his own brand. In the process of manufacturing materials for his own brand with Pellemoda, Véjas became smitten with the company and appointed him as director.
Vejas temporarily suspended his own brand when he took over as director.
