The designer is Kodai Kato (Kota Kato).
He was born in Takatsuki City, Osaka.
While studying dressmaking under his grandmother, who is also a designer, he launched his private brand “kodress kaliculation” while still in school.
After graduation, while working as a buyer at a select store in Osaka, he launched his own brand, the predecessor of “Licht Bestreben”.
Later, he renamed and started his brand from Fall/Winter 2016 and moved his base to Tokyo.
In 2018, the brand won the “Tokyo New Designer Fashion Award”.
