ARMIN STROM — Watchmaking That Shows Its Mechanics

ARMIN STROM places the movement itself at the centre of its design, building watches that let the mechanics
be seen.
Its own resonance technology, which sets two movements oscillating in harmony, has earned the brand the
attention of collectors worldwide.
Here we introduce the appeal of ARMIN STROM.

What is ARMIN STROM?

ARMIN STROM is an independent luxury watch brand with its own manufacture in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland.

Its guiding philosophy is simple: “Mechanics tell time. Transparent mechanics tell the difference.” By
opening up the dial to reveal the power barrel, the escapement and the rest of the mechanism, each watch puts
the handwork and precision behind it on full display.

Almost every movement component is produced in-house, and annual output is deliberately kept small. Each
watch is assembled twice, and the manufacture masters some 90 movement-decoration techniques under its own
roof.

History of ARMIN STROM

The name belongs to Armin Strom himself, a master watchmaker celebrated for his skeletonising work, who
started the workshop that carried his name in 1967.

The Michel family acquired the brand in 2006, and in 2009 Serge Michel and master watchmaker Claude Greisler
established a fully integrated manufacture in Biel/Bienne. A run of in-house calibres followed, among them
the Mirrored Force Resonance, which links two independent movements through a patented clutch.
