History of Marni

At the age of 25, designer Consuelo Castiglioni married Jean Castiglioni, the president of CiwiFurs, a famous Italian fur company that is also responsible for furs for Fendi and other brands.
When she settled down to raise her children, she began working as a fashion consultant for her husband’s company.
In 1994, she launched her own brand named “Marni” as part of the family business of her husband’s company “CiwiFurs”.
In 2001, she launched a men’s line.
In 2001, the brand launched a men’s line, and later became the talk of the town when it launched a perfume line and announced a collaboration with H&M. The breadth of the brand has expanded.
On October 21, 2016, the founder Consuelo Castiglioni resigned as Creative Director. At the same time, Francesco Risso was appointed as the new Creative Director.
