What is UMBER?
UMBER is a Japanese fashion brand.
UMBER proposes “clothes that are not for consumption but for investment” with a sense of value necessary for the
modern age, which is created by balancing design, fabrics, pattern-making, and specifications.
We do not have a specific seasonal theme, but plan around the brand concept throughout the year.
Minimalist, the designs are characterized by extreme simplicity, and the atmosphere is natural and light, without

History of UMBER
Mr. Hiromutsumi Fujioka is the designer of UMBER. He graduated from Osaka Bunka Fashion College. After graduation, he
joined an apparel manufacturer.
However, he left that apparel maker soon after and after two years of creative work, he started Décor du tissu with
pattern maker Koji Tsumatani and others in the spring/summer of 2014.
He ended Décor du tissu in the Spring/Summer 2017 collection.
He then started his own brand “UMBER” in the fall/winter of 2017.
